"Bait and Switch" Billing Tactics by Rebecca Ringer & Kevin Coan

I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of transparency, integrity, and fair business practices at this agency. My home and auto coverage was finalized, quoted, and fully paid for on March 2nd, 2026.
Based on the binding agreement, I paid the exact amounts quoted:
* Home Insurance Policy: $1,086.00
* Auto Insurance Policy: $1,362.13
Then, on April 14th, 2026, I received a bill demanding an additional $529.58. I am fully aware that companies have a post-issuance underwriting period to verify records. However, I have been buying commercial insurance policies for my hotel, alongside my personal home and auto insurance, for 25 years. Never in a quarter-century of doing business has an agency ever pulled a stunt like this.
This is a textbook "bait and switch" tactic. Agent Rebecca Ringer should be completely ashamed of how this was handled. The agent in charge of this office, Kevin Coan, should be deeply embarrassed to run a business that treats loyal customers this way. Shame on all of you. Like every honest consumer, we work incredibly hard for our money every single year. It is disgraceful that companies like yours constantly find underhanded ways to extract even more from our pockets.
Because of this underhanded behavior, I took my business elsewhere. I switched everything to AAA of South Jersey, and they proved to be both cheaper and far more honest. They managed to give me better pricing upfront without hitting me with hidden, deceptive fees after the fact.
Required Resolution:
I still expect Kevin Coan to personally audit this account immediately and cancel these policies without penalty. I demand a written, line-by-line explanation justifying this extra $529.58 charge, alongside itemized invoices for both policies. I will be reporting this lack of transparency and predatory billing to the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance."
